The Divine Tenderness

1 The spirit of Mary is with you.

2 My invisible presence, which is felt by those who have known how to become spiritually prepared, is true. I am pleased to visit my Marian family so that it might feel my presence close to its heart, and hear my maternal voice with the love and confidence of a child who listens to the stories told by his mother.

3 Listen carefully: In those times, hidden among the mountains of Galilee, there was a village called Nazareth, comprised of humble houses where tranquility, simplicity, and peace reigned. There, ignored by the world and silently awaiting her mission, lived a young maiden who was her parent's treasured pride and joy.

4 They called me Mary, which means Lady, and from my childhood I knew that my destiny in the world was to serve the Father as the most humble of his servants. During my childhood, I spent many hours absorbed in prayer and meditation, in states of sweet ecstasy which gave my woman's heart the strength to withstand the pain which awaited me. However, like all children, I knew of children's games, for I have always loved childhood.

5 How often was my heart moved by the innocence of those little ones who sought my company to enjoy the tenderness which my heart reserved for them. They were the same who later, during an evening when I endured infinite grief, would hear the Divine Master glorify me at the foot of the cross as Spiritual Mother of all mankind.

6 My knowledge of God and of the higher revelations given to me allowed me to prepare many hearts, having them become aware that the time for the arrival of the promised Saviour was approaching; but no word ever left my lips which would reveal that I was the one selected among all women to give birth to the Divine Word. I was to await the moment when the voice of the Father, through the lips of Jesus, would reveal my true essence.

7 During the silent Nazarene nights, I would pray for all of mankind. And how much pain overcame my heart on behalf of those who were ill both in body and in spirit. How greatly did I suffer over those lonely souls who endured hunger and thirst for love! I also lifted my prayers on behalf of all who bore a cross of ingratitude or injustice.

8 In the depth of my being, I could foresee the suffering which my maternal heart would bear at Calvary.

9 Oh, Nazareth, blossom of Galilee, you were my little terrestrial homeland! It was there that, humble like all of your women, I came to know human toil, which I gladly and lovingly undertook with humility and obedience, recognizing that the home is a temple where the spirit of the Lord dwells.

10 However, another temple awaited me once I became a young maiden. That is the one to which I would come in order to dedicate myself to the service of God, and where my spirit and my flesh would become prepared and strengthened through prayer and in the practice of the Law. It was from that temple that I would one day depart to become one in matrimony to Joseph, the noble man who in his later years was to be my companion on earth for a brief time.

11 One night, while transported by prayer and speaking with the Almighty, the Angel of the Lord came to me to announce that I would soon conceive the Father's only begotten Son. Totally absorbed, I contemplated the heavenly vision. But I was not surprised by what the Angel had just announced since my spirit knew the mission that had brought it to the world. Nevertheless, my heart of woman and virgin wife felt infinite humility beholding such immense grace granted to a humble creature, and I offered my gratitude in prayer.

12 From my eyes flowed a stream of tears of happiness and of suffering as well, and I said to the Father, Lord, my spirit rejoices in you, my Savior, for you have done great things, for you are all powerful, and your name is holy.

13 Several months went by, and the day approached when the words of the spiritual messenger would be fulfilled. Thus, I prepared the humble home where my dear Jesus, the fruit of my womb, would be born.

14 But God had ordered everything in another way, for I had to depart with Joseph to Bethlehem of Judea obeying Caeser's order, and the child would thus be born far from Nazareth.

15 The journey was long and painful for one close to becoming a mother, and the search for a place to rest in Bethlehem was fruitless. No door was opened at my call, but the Lord had prepared everything; for there, in the outskirts of the city, was a place among the rocks where humble shepherds found refuge along with their flocks. That was the place chosen by God for my beloved son, the promised Messiah, to be born.

16 My children, I assure you that no words exist in your language to express what my eyes beheld the moment that Jesus was born into the light of the world and lay resting in my arms. A radiant light illumined that Being, who enveloped me in a smile of infinite love as he opened his eyes.

17 What great joy invaded my Mother's heart! But such solitude and suffering existed around us that I found myself distressed. Knowing that he was King, I would have wished to cover that little body with glory. Instead, I could only clothe him with loving kisses. I would have given him the best of all cradles, but I could only offer him a manger for a bed.

18 A deep silence filled that blessed night, hiding the arrival of the Son of God among men from the perception of the lords and kings of the world who slept in darkness and in apathy.

19 The shepherds of Bethlehem, with humble and sincere hearts, were the ones to feel the sweet steps of the new arrival in the depths of their beings.

20 In the middle of the night, the Angel of the Lord appeared before them and said, "Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ hte Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swadding clothes, lying in a manger. He is the Messiah". Luke 2:10-12

21 In that instant, the sky was filled with a radiant light, and an army of angels sang in a sweet voice, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men". Luke 2:14

22 Absorbed and in ecstasy, they received the divine message which had been announced centuries before by the prophets of the Lord.

23 When the vision had passed, the shepherds, with hearts overflowing with happiness, went in search of family and friends to tell the good news. Later, the light of the Lord guided their steps to the humble dwelling where the Son of God lay in the straw of a manger.

24 The eyes of the shepherds rested upon a scene of humility and light. That child whom they adored on their knees was God Made Man coming to the world to save humanity from the burden of sin.

25 O my Father, you have sought the simple hearts throughout all times to reveal to them your high plans, knowing that the wise and powerful reject and deny you!

26 You who are the laborers among my beloved people, who come to listen to your Lord, are the simple hearts that my Father seeks in this time to carry the news of the new coming to your brothers.

27 You, men and women, old and young, who in these moments hear the voice of your Celestial Mother, are the humble hearts that have known how to listen in this time to the voice of the Angel of the Lord announcing the spiritual presence of the Divine Master. I bless your obedience to this call of love; you are like the shepherds of that time, for you have not been offended at having found him in total humility, away from the splendor of the world. And in return for the faith you are showing upon receiving these revelations, the Lord wishes to rest in the place you have prepared for him in your hearts.

28 I receive the gifts of love which you offer me and convert them into peace for all the people of the earth, into tenderness for all children, and into strength for all men who struggle for life. I wrap all women in my mantle of love and dry the tears of mothers, wives, widows and those who have been abandoned, all of whom drink drop by drop from their chalice of bitterness.

29 Humanity, I love you infinitely. If some do not recognize me as Mother, I still do not dishonor them in any way, for I do not love only those who love or believe in me. You are all mine, and all will come to the presence of the Father, where you will see me awaiting you with loving open arms to have you feel the warmth of my embrace, from which you will never again depart.

30 Oh, blessed children, beloved orphans and confused youth who wander about aimlessly, take my ligth with you! Young men and women, remain strong among the storms of life in order that you do not lose your essence. Blessed children, receive my caress and my gifts.

31 Lonely hearts who hunger for love and thirst for tenderness and understanding, I announce to you that soon you will find the treasure you sincerely seek.

32 Until then, I leave a lighted torch of faith glowing in your existence.
